What We Help With

AFFORDABLE TREATMENTS

Integrative Care & Treatment Approaches

Integrative care extends beyond a single therapeutic approach by combining different evidence-based treatment models to create a highly personalized, holistic plan tailored to the client.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

A trauma-focused therapy that uses bilateral (eye movements, tapping, or tones) to help the brain properly process and categorize painful experiences.

Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB)

This holistic approach explores how early relationships shape your brain (Attachment Theory). We integrate Neuroscience (neuroplasticity), Mindfulness, and Somatic Awareness to help you ‘rewire’ your nervous system and heal not just your mind, but your body too.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT is a mindfulness-based therapy that cultivates self-empathy and psychological flexibility, enabling you to compassionately accept inner experiences while moving toward a life defined by your deepest values.

Dialectical behavior Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy ($DBT$) is a highly structured, evidence-based therapy that teaches skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness (effective communication).

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps people identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors.

Faqs

Committed to Giving you True Value.

Do you accept insurance and TriCare?

Yes. We believe high-quality care should be accessible.

  • Commercial Insurance: We are in-network with most major providers, including Aetna, Centivo, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Healthcare.

  • TriCare West: We are proud to serve Active Duty family members, retirees, and veterans. (Active Duty Service Members usually require a referral from their PCM).

  • Medicaid: We are committed to serving our community and accept Medicaid plans.

  • Out of Network: If we don’t take your specific plan, we can provide a “Superbill” for you to submit for potential reimbursement.

What if I can’t afford standard therapy rates?

We are committed to making mental health care accessible to our community. We offer a two-step solution for different budgets:

  • Reduced Rates: We offer sessions with our highly skilled Master’s Level Interns and Candidates at a significantly lower cost. These clinicians receive rigorous supervision and bring fresh, up-to-date expertise to their work.

  • Scholarship Fund: Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we offer a limited number of partial scholarships for clients facing extreme financial hardship. Please ask our Intake Coordinator about the application process and current fund availability.

Is my therapy confidential? (Especially for Military & Teens) Absolutely
  • For Military: We are a private practice, fully independent of the military command structure. Your sessions are HIPAA-protected and do not go on your military service record (unless there is an immediate safety risk).

  • For Teens: We have a “Privacy Covenant.” We keep the details of what your teen shares private to build trust, but we will always inform parents of any safety concerns (self-harm, harm to others).

How do you match me with the right therapist?

Your choice comes first. We believe therapy works best when you feel a connection with your provider.

  • Request a Clinician: If you have read our team bios and found a counselor you resonate with, simply request them! We honor your autonomy and will do our best to schedule you with your preferred provider based on their availability.

  • Let Us Guide You: If you aren’t sure who to see, don’t worry. We don’t just assign you to the next available slot. We look for “Clinical Fit” (e.g., Trauma, Play Therapy) and “Personality Fit” to ensure you are paired with the clinician best equipped to help you reach your goals.

Do you offer Telehealth or In-Person sessions?
  • In-Person: We recommend this for Children (Play Therapy) and for those who need a physical ‘safe space’ for counseling in Arvada away from home/work.

  • Telehealth: We offer secure video sessions for busy professionals, parents with tight schedules, or clients living further away. You can access care from the comfort of your own space.

Do I need a diagnosis to come to therapy?

You do not need to bring a diagnosis with you. However, the path we take depends on how you pay:

  • Using Insurance (including TriCare): During your first few sessions, your therapist will assess you. To have insurance pay for therapy, they require us to identify a “Medical Necessity” (a diagnosis like Anxiety, PTSD, or Adjustment Disorder) to prove that treatment is needed. We will discuss this transparently with you.

  • Self-Pay (Private Pay): If you choose not to use insurance, no diagnosis is required. This is a popular option for couples or individuals who prefer to keep their mental health records completely private and off the grid.
