OUR PRICES – TALK THERAPY

Clear, Tiered Pricing for Every Budget.

We offer 55-minute sessions, both in-person and virtual. As a non-profit, we link our rates to your household income to ensure fairness. Select your income level below to see your specific options.

✓ PROUDLY ACCEPTING TRICARE WEST AND MEDICAID

Our Rates are Based on Household Income

We believe in transparency. To ensure fairness, your total annual household income determines your specific “Tier” rate.

  • The $40,000 Threshold: Our sliding scale rates begin at $40,000/year.

  • Income Verification: We may ask for verbal verification or pay stubs to ensure we match you with the correct pricing tier.

  • Financial Aid (<$40k): If your total household income is under $40,000, you likely qualify for state-sponsored health coverage (Medicaid), which covers therapy at 100%.

We strongly encourage you to apply for Medicaid rather than paying out of pocket.  Check Eligibility & Apply for Health First Colorado

Payment Methods

We accept the following forms of payment. Payment, including co-pays, is due at the time of service.

  • Credit & Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover)

  • HSA & FSA Cards (Health Savings / Flexible Spending Accounts)

  • Checks

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. We ask that you please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

  • Late Cancellations: Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to the full session fee.

  • No-Shows: Missed appointments without notice will be charged the full session fee.

We understand that emergencies happen. If you have a genuine emergency, please contact our office immediately.

Policy for Medicaid Members

Due to state regulations, Medicaid members are not charged fees for late cancellations or missed appointments. However, consistent attendance is vital for your treatment progress.

  • Attendance Requirement: We reserve a recurring time slot specifically for you. To be fair to other clients on our waiting list, frequent cancellations (more than 3 in a 6-month period) or “No-Shows” may result in a review of your services or the loss of your recurring appointment time.

Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We Are Committed to Giving You True Value.

How do I know which "Tier" of counselor is right for me?

It depends on your specific needs and budget.

  • Tier 3 (LPC) therapists are fully licensed experts, ideal for complex diagnoses or those using commercial insurance.

  • Tier 2 (LPCC) therapists have completed their master’s degrees and are working toward full licensure. They are excellent for those who want high-quality care at a lower rate.

  • Tier 1 (Interns) are master’s students under strict supervision. They are a perfect choice if you are paying out-of-pocket and need the most affordable option ($40/session) while still receiving guided, compassionate care.

Do you accept Tri-Care West?

Yes! We are proud to serve military families.

  • Active Duty: You will likely need a referral from your PCM (Primary Care Manager) before booking.

  • Dependents/Retirees: You generally do not need a referral for outpatient therapy, but we recommend verifying this with Tri-Care West before your first appointment.

How does the "Sliding Scale" work?

Our sliding scale is designed to be transparent. We base your per-session rate on your total annual household income.

  • Income under $30k: We recommend applying for Medicaid (Health First Colorado), which we accept. This will likely cover your therapy at 100%.

  • Income $30k – $100k: You qualify for our reduced rates (see the pricing table above).

  • Income $100k+: You will pay our standard full rate ($90 – $140 depending on the clinician)

What if I have insurance that you don't accept?

If we are “out-of-network” for your plan, you can pay our self-pay rate at the time of service. We will then provide you with a Superbill (a medical receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company. Many plans will reimburse you for a portion of the cost.

Is "Christian Counseling" mandatory?

No. We are a faith-based practice, but we welcome clients from all walks of life. We offer professional clinical counseling first and foremost. If you would like your faith integrated into your sessions, simply request this when you book, and we will match you with a provider who specializes in that approach.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. This allows us to offer that appointment slot to another client who may need it. Late cancellations or “no-shows” will be subject to a cancellation fee.
